The Family Center at Highlands School is an early childhood program meeting the needs of children from 6 weeks old to 4K readiness. We seek to hire a substitute teacher with a strong background in early childhood education and child development with commensurate experience. The successful candidate must be a team player and positive thinker, exhibit a model work ethic and can-do attitude, be loving and nurturing, and possess strong communication skills. This is a substitute position.
Plan and implement age and developmentally appropriate classroom practices that will include the areas of physical, emotional, social and cognitive/intellectual needs of the children, utilizing early childhood educational best practices
Have knowledge of and preferred experience teaching a nationally recognized early childhood curriculum (ex: Creative Curriculum) as well as NAEYC curricular guidelines
Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development Degree
