4K

With a focus on friendships, problem-solving, STEAM, and collaboration, our 4K program paves the way for an early love of learning. Children in 4K are introduced to academic concepts through concrete and hands-on activities. They learn how to work and interact together through learning and play centers. Our 4K is a half-day program, and an extended day is available after 12PM through the Extended Day Program (EDP).

Foster curiosity through developmentally appropriate scientific reasoning activities
Engage in hands on learning which encourages students to ask questions, share what they already know, make observations, predict and gather information, and share conclusions
Learn to collaborate with peers through engagement in STEM activities, which are embedded throughout the curriculum
Question, reason, predict, and investigate the world around them

World Language

Rotate among three languages Chinese, French, and Spanish throughout the school year
Develop very basic vocabulary, such as some greetings, goodbyes, introductions, polite words, numbers, and colors
Practice answering questions posed in the target language using the vocabulary
Learn age appropriate songs, participate in read alouds, and play games to promote the overall goal of developing listening and speaking skills

Physical Education & Wellness

Provide opportunities for challenge, exploration, self expression, and social interaction
Introduce basic fundamental motor skills (locomotor/nonlocomotor/manipulative skills)
Explore with equipment
Learn and utilize acceptable behaviors for physical activity settings, such as the adherence to class rules, understanding personal space, the ability to take turns and share, and the demonstration of good sportsmanship

Art

Focus on developing all areas of the learner physical, emotional, social, and cognitive
Promote a positive self image, sensory awareness, growing independence, and an eagerness to learn
Manipulate and create with a variety of materials and engage in a variety of art making processes to enhance fine motor skills
Observe and discuss works of art from a broad range of cultures and times
