While parent interviews are an important and required part of the admissions process and may be scheduled by inquiring about the school, Highlands encourages families to attend as many of the on-campus family events as possible. Special events related to the admission process include Group Tours and Open House, kindergarten screenings, and academic testing. Other events include music and theater performances, family and cultural events, and Parent University educational sessions.

GROUP TOURS & OPEN HOUSE

For applicants of all grades and priority in the admission process:

Highlands offers multiple opportunities for prospective families to visit campus as a campus event. First Look Fridays are conducted in the Fall and Spring. Tours are led by the admissions team and students may shadow for the full day. Parents see the school in action, and student candidates experience it. The Winter Open House is held on a Sunday afternoon in early February. While classes are not in session, all teachers are present for tours led by alumni to see classroom spaces and ask questions about academic curriculum, instructional methodologies, and social-emotional program.
