BELONGING

Highlands fosters in its students an appreciation of individual differences, an awareness of and openness toward ideas that differ from their own, and an understanding and appreciation of the backgrounds and experiences of all members of their communities. Everyone is welcome and embraced at Highlands.

CHILDHOOD

We believe in the magic of childhood. While challenging curriculum and academics are at the core of our school, so is the importance of preserving those precious moments of childhood. In today’s world, our children are faced with so many stressors, especially given the recent pandemic. That is why we build in opportunities for free play, field days, and team bonding. We allow room and space for our kids to be kids.

Highlands School

Portrait of a Graduate

Have you ever wondered what makes a Highlands Student stand out from the pack? There are four qualities that our graduates carry with them throughout the rest of their lives.

The Highlands Way

"The Highlands Way" is an integral part of everyday life in the Highlands School community.

Professional Excellence

The Highlands community is what makes our school so special. The students, faculty, administration, parents, and trustees all give generously of their time and talents to make Highlands a caring community for academic excellence, but none more so than our faculty and staff.

We chose Highlands because of the level of education, emphasis on a global perspective, and collaborative, project-based learning. Also, we love the diverse, accepting community that encourages children to be individuals rather than cookie cutters of each other. - Current Highlands PArent
