All School Project Culmination

On Wednesday, November 20th, we hosted an All School Project Culmination. Project-based learning is a hallmark of the Highlands academic experience. Students acquire deeper knowledge by actively exploring real-world problems and authentically engaging in content. As project work is cross-curricular, students learn to apply skills, knowledge, and strategies from varying content areas while developing critical thinking, problem-solving ability, collaboration, communication, and creativity.

Project work begins in our preschool grades, building upon skills in each grade, and culminating in the 8th Grade Capstone Project. Parents and attendees were able to visit each grade’s culmination to see the progression of learning, subject matter, and executive functioning skills.
