Highlands Students Excel in Perennial Math Tournament

Highlands 4th and 5th grade students took top places at the Perennial Math tournament at Birmingham Southern College last weekend.
In 4th grade, Highlands team took the 1st place out of 8 teams. The team included McNair Shah, Raju Sudarshan, Lillian Rand, Rosa Schwebel, and Misha Patel. In individual competition, McNair and Raju tied for 2nd place and Lillian placed 3rd among 28 students.
In 5th grade, Eli Mrug won 1st place in the individual competition out of 32 students, and a team that included Eli Mrug and Shayna Jotani placed 2nd out of 6 teams.
