7th Grade Cooking Projects

Sra. Bree Holland
The students were very enthusiastic about this project and really did a fantastic job! They chose and researched different dishes from Spanish-speaking countries, including arepas, churros, empanadas, flan, guacamole, magdalenas, polvorones, salsa, and salsa verde.
First, the students investigated a variety of recipes and chose their favorite one. Next, they worked with that recipe in order to write the ingredients list and the instructions in Spanish. This gave them an opportunity to practice the food vocabulary and commands they had been working on in class. After writing their recipes in Spanish, the students used their recipes to prepare their dishes at home and make instructional videos in Spanish. On Monday, February 27, 2016, everyone shared their food and videos with each other in class. All of the food was absolutely delicious, and the videos were amazing, both in content and presentation! Excellent work!
