Tuition covers a significant portion of the cost of education, principally faculty and staff salaries. However, additional costs are associated with enrollment at Highlands School from required curricular field trips and the hot lunch program to auxiliary programs such as extended day, day care (on days when school is closed), and after-school activities. Bus transportation also has an additional expense.
