5th Grade Prototype Win Presidential Award at McWane Science Center
Students worked in teams on various aspects of the project: building the prototype, creating designs of the potential exhibit, showing ways to display the science concept, and explaining how the exhibit would work. The 5th graders’ hard work paid off and along with the Presidential award, they were given a $500 cash prize to be used in the classroom. During the award ceremony, Kathie Fournier, the McWane Science Center’s president, stated, “This prototype combines science and math and changes with each experience; I can actually see this on our floor at McWane.” We are so proud of all the hard work that our students put into this project. Congratulations!
