Highlands Fall Group Tours & Boarding School Fair

As of October 1, the 2016-2017 admission season has BEGUN for new students in 2017! Applications are being received for all grade levels; however, definitive entry points exist at early childhood and fifth and sixth grade.

The first event of the admission season will occur next Thursday, October 13 from 8:15 to 10:15 a.m. for both current and prospective parents. Student speakers from second grade, fifth grade, and middle school will share excerpts from their Highlands experience. Afterwards fifth graders and middle school students will lead tours of the facilities and classrooms. Middle school families will also experience Middle School Community Meeting which occurs at the end of the tour.

Linked with the admissions event is our popular Boarding School Fair. Some students will tour the fair from 1:00 to 3:00 in 15-20 minute time intervals as an opportunity to develop communication skills and help boarding schools understand our community. If you are interested in learning about boarding school philosophies, programs, and scholarships, parents may visit just prior to and after carpool pick-up until 4:00 p.m. At 6:00 p.m., a question and answer panel with panelists representing a girls school, a boys school, a co-ed school, and a military academy will describe their programs and answer parent questions. Non-Highlands families may attend the boarding school fair after 3:15 p.m., and they may also attend the evening panel.

It is time to invite families whom you feel would be great candidates to attend and learn more about Highlands. Flyers and yard signs are available for you to publicize the events in your own neighborhood or business. Please reach out to Trey Adams, Director of Admissions and Enrollment with any questions or to offer help. As always, your presence at these events is WELCOME! Highlands is a community dedicated to a uniquely special experience for children and families. October the 13th is part of our #AHigherDegreeof #Options!
