Highlands' Book Fair is Coming Up!

Tynley Baker
It’s a fact: children enjoy reading for fun with their parents! Not only does reading unlock a child’s imagination, it can even help them get into college! Here are some ways you can develop your child’s reading skills:

• Keep books in your home. Update the collection frequently to give your child new choices. Read what your child is reading so you can ask questions about the story.

• Set the example. Let children see you read.

• Support our school’s Book Fair. Let your children choose their own books.

Our Scholastic Book Fair features a huge selection of engaging and affordable books for every age. Your child is certain to find a book they will love! Please make plans to visit our Book Fair.

Book Fair dates:
Tuesday, November 28 - Friday, December 1

Special activities:
Family Fun Night - Tuesday, November 28 3:00 - 7:00

All For Books Loose Change Drive

Attention all Students!
Remember to search your furniture, car, and bedroom for loose change over the holiday. Bring your change with you when your class shops the book fair and vote for your favorite silly teacher activity. All of your loose change will put more books in your classroom and Scholastic will help boys and girls without books get the books they need to become better readers. Oh, one more thing,  we'll also get to see some teachers doing something silly this January!
